For high schoolers with something to make
THE
STUDIO
An online creative studio for work that doesn't fit anywhere else
Some work begins where the assignment ends.
It starts in Notes. In a film edited on weekends. In a zine run off at 2am. In an idea that won't stop.
The Studio is where it goes next.
THE WORKSHOP
8 weeks. You have something to say. Writing is how you find out what it is.
From $700 · Fall 2026 →THE AUDIT
Your application — read the way an admissions committee reads it.
From $650 · Async · Aug 1–Dec 1 →Coming Spring 2027
THE RESIDENCY
10 weeks. 1 project. You know what you want to make. Now make it.
Why a studio?
Serious creative work has always happened in studios. Small cohorts. Regular feedback. Deadlines. A guide who knows your work well enough to ask better questions.
That model is common in graduate programs and art schools. It's how creative work actually develops.
It's rare in high school.
The Studio is built on it.

About Kate →Nearly a decade in art school admissions and several years teaching writing at the high school and college level. I built The Studio because I kept meeting students with something real to make and nowhere serious to take it.
